Siddha Yoga Path in India

Letter from Board of Trustees Regarding Chennai Floods

December 07, 2015

Dear Siddha Yogi,

Over the course of the last week, Chennai and the surrounding areas have experienced severe flooding. These have been the area’s worse floods in a century. Lakhs of people have been displaced by the flooding and over 11 lakh people have been assisted in rescue and relief operations.

Sevites are in contact with Siddha Yogis in the affected area. All the Siddha Yogis who have been contacted as of today are safe and unharmed. However, the situation continues to be challenging for many of them. Many devotees in the region still do not have power and they have much work to do to get their lives back to normal.

On Sunday, December 6 in Gurudev Siddha Peeth, Gurukula students chanted the mantra Om Namah Shivaya to offer prayers and blessings for those affected by the floods.

The Siddha Yoga path and spiritual practices bring love, hope, solace, and peace in all times. As a global sangham, let us continue to offer our practices and prayers for the benefit of all -- for the people in the areas affected by the flooding, and for all humanity.

With warm regards

The Trustees of the Siddha Yoga Sangham of India and
Gurudev Siddha Peeth
